Thank you! I was a bit worried that my followers would hate seeing art from games they don't have any interest in, especially when i mostly do comics with plot than standalone illustrations. Thanks for telling me that maybe not all people think about it that way.

I need people to stop thinking of robots and AI in their current states of advancement as conscious beings. It's a weird amount of anthropomorphization that really misses the mark on what the concerns surrounding these things should be. When you start talking about AI and robots as anything but tools, you begin to view robots and AI themselves as the problem instead of the people in charge of them and what they're being used for. It also makes you sound like a luddite who thinks the voice in their smartphone is Literally The Devil.

Was at the dog park enjoying letting my new puppy get absolutely exhausted playing with a similarly aged puppy and got talking with her owner. He mentions off handedly that my puppy seems a healthy weight and that his just cannot put on any (she is gangly) He immediately follows that with how he makes the food he feeds her (awesome to do if you use the right ingredients and stay mindful of what your specific dog needs out of a meal) and asks me and my wife what we feed ours. We say that it's a puppy kibble that my wife had good experience with when our other dog was a pup, but that we'd love to feed her homemade if we could afford it. Rather than in any way acknowledge that homemade is more expensive than kibble, he whips out his phone and types "what can I feed my dog" into chatgpt and shows us the results. I didn't even look beyond seeing it was just. A recipe. Probably butchered from a million more competent sources. We just deflected with 'oh hum we hadn't heard of that' and headed home.

When I say I hate chatgpt, I don't mean it in any simple or reductive way that has asterisks and footnotes saying when it can be "only for XYZ". I mean it as everything it is. This person has become so tone deaf to human interaction that hearing someone say "I'm poor" lead him to think that the chatbot would have a solution. He wasn't in that conversation, I can't imagine he's in his own life, just a chatbot made to look like more than it is. I bet I know why his puppy looks so gangly now, and I'm not so sure it's just being a bit disproportionate.

it really is crazy how quickly people were willing to just let chatgpt do everything for them. i have never even tried it. brother i don't even know if it's just a website you go to or what. i do not know where chatgpt actually lives, because i can decide my own grocery list.

When I became freelance, one of my first marketing contracts was fixing my boss' blog posts and articles that he had 'written' with ChatGPT.

It was the single most soul-sucking task I have ever done in my life. I could have ghostwritten it for them faster than it took me to edit it.

ChatGPT would often hallucinate features of the product, and often required more fact-checking than the article was worth.

It is absolutely no surprise that 77% of employees report that AI has increased workloads and lowered productivity, while 96% of executives believe it has boosted it.

The reality is that it's only boosted the amount of work employees have to do which leads to increased burnout, stress and job dissatisfaction.

i can't judge people for using chatgpt as a therapist or whatever when the legitimate crisis chatlines are staffed by ai now and they just lie about it. like damn if i knew i was talking to a chatbot i'd have just gone on character ai and pulled up the scarecrow bot it would unironically have been more helpful
